- You do surprise me. I use the ioExtender:- had it almost 2 years and no
- problems. I don't have gvpser.device in devs: nor anywhere on my hard
- drive. I just did a search for it. As far as I know, it's in a chip on
- the card.
-
- I expect you do have gvpio in your 'Expansion' drawer, and "BindDrivers"
- in your startup-sequence? There's GVPIOcontrol in Workbench Prefs, also.
- Have you tried just specifying the device in your GVPIOcontrol prefs and
- see if there's any complaint?
-
- If you have a system monitor, like ARTM, it should see gvpser.device
- and also gvppar.device. Sysinfo should also show them if you click on
- the cycle gadget at the top (currently showing 'Libraries').
-
- One thing you might try, in desparation, is moving the card to another
- slot. GVP cards are notorious for being position conscious. (They have
- other problems also, like some refusing to work with other GVP cards also
- mounted.)
